I named this work after the Hellenistic sculpture because it reminded me of the statue I talked about when I was teaching art history. The painting is of a 1930’s Sterling dump truck with a toy Tonka truck on its hood. Everytime I went to the site where the original truck was located these two were always together, nobody had moved them. So naturally I just had to paint them. Oil on Canvas. 30″ x 40″.
