Beauty and the Beast
Beauty and the Beast represents two victories. The background is The Louvre. I chose this location because the original statue of ‘Winged Victory’ is there today. When I saw the 1928 Walter snowplow with its massive double wings I associated it with ‘Winged Victory’, and I thought they should be put together since they both represent victories in their own way. Oil on canvas. 24″ x 30″.
