Broken Wheels
Broken Wheels was awarded Third Place at the Copley Society Summer Members’ Show: Inspired by the Modernists honoring the 1913 Exhibit in New York City. My inspiration for Broken Wheels was the artist and photographer Charles Sheeler. The engine that is depicted in this painting can be found in North Conway, NH behind the railroad station. The engine had been cannibalized for parts so the wheels don’t function. Oil on canvas. 40″ x 30″.
